About This Trip

Itinerary

  • Drive from Srinagar to Sonamarg (9,186 ft) and begin the 12 km trek to Nichnai (11,500 ft) taking approx 5–6 hours.
  • Trek through alpine meadows and cross Nichnai Pass to reach the stunning Vishansar Lake.
  • Pass by Kishansar Lake and cross Gadsar Pass (the highest point of the trek) to descend to Gadsar Lake.
  • Trek through rugged terrains and cross Zaj Pass to reach the collection of seven lakes at Satsar.
  • Descend towards the twin lakes of Gangabal and Nundkol lying at the foot of Mount Harmukh.
  • Final descent through pine forests from Gangabal Lake down to Naranag village.
  • Drive back from Naranag to Srinagar, concluding the trek.
